She has authored two books, "The Complete Guide to Business Growth" and "A Business Owner's Guide to Operational Accounting."
She was nominated for Emerging Women Leader by the Florida Institute of CPA for their 2022 Women to Watch Awards.
Ms. Torossian started her career as an auditor at Berkowitz, Pollack, and Brant CPA firm in 2010. In May 2012, she joined the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. She soon accepted additional responsibilities to perform forecasts and projections, prepare the annual budgets, and manage the entire audit and tax preparation process.
In January 2015, she rose to the challenge to become the Controller and acting CFO. She implemented databases, designed accounting-related reports, and reviewed workflow processes. She managed the accounting team hiring, retention, training, and performance and administered organization-wide salaries and bonuses.
In 2017 she was promoted to Chief Administration and Finance Officer. She was responsible for the Chamber and its Foundation's administration and operations, including human resources and payroll, finance and accounting, treasury, legal, information technology, grants administration, and facilities management. Additionally, she collaborated with volunteer-based professionals for the five-year strategic and reorganization plan.
By 2016, Marie recognized the need for small businesses to have the same guidance and resources as large corporations. As a result, she started offering consulting services to small businesses and, in 2020, launched her accounting firm. In 2022, she launched her management consulting business to focus on coaching and training.
Ms. Torossian holds a master's degree in Accounting from Florida International University. She is a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
Ms. Torossian's mission statement is "To live in God's grace, help those in need and make a difference in everyone's life." She describes herself in short as a leader, motivator, and mentor. She prides herself on her high ethical standards, discipline, and passion for helping her clients succeed. She enjoys the beautiful Florida waters with her husband and children during her free time.
Ms. Torossian loves to give back to her community. She serves as Chair of the FICPA North Dade/South Broward Chapter, Chair for the Florida Justice Center, and Accountant Advisor to Run by ADP.
